OPEN CLASS

Juvenile, Adult, Master and Senior White belts;
Juvenile's (Light weight and below):
There's no open class.

Juvenile male and female: blue and purple belts (middle weight and above);
Adult male: blue, purple and brown; 
Adult Female: blue, purple, brown belts;
Master and Senior Male and Female: blue, purple, brown and black belts: 
Athletes who placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their weight divisions are eligible to register for the Open Class bracket. The athletes willing to register in the open class should register at the event administration table after having his weight division medal awarded, according to the registration schedule . No registrations will be accepted after the registration closing time schedule.

Adult male and female: black belts
Black belts male and female registered in the event are eligible to participate in the black belt open class division bracket.
The male and female black belt athletes willing to participate in the open class division must apply their registration at the event administration table according to the event schedule.
No registrations will be accepted after the event registration closing time schedule.

IMPORTANT INFO

The trophy by teams/academy will be rewarded to the Academies with more points in all divisions:

Points are counted as follows:
1st place - 9 points
2nd place - 3 points
3rd place - 1 point

* When there is only one athlete on the bracket  points are not counted.
** When there are only two athletes in the bracket and both from the same academy,the points are not counted.

Each academy can only have two athletes in the same division (of age/weight/belt). If your academy has problems regarding the number of athletes in each division, please send an e-mail to IBJJF ibjjf@ibjjf.com.

Any false information provided during registration such as, but not limited to, DOB may lead to immediate disqualification. Such actions are subject to suspension or even banishment from future IBJJF events.

Depending on the number of athletes in the tournament, some classes may not have an absolute division.

The registration Fee is non-refundable.

We try to accommodate as many athletes as possible in our events, but there is a limit on the number of athletes in order to guarantee a high quality event.

THE FEDERATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE REGISTRATION when we reach full capacity, or the appointed event date registration deadline, whichever comes first.

We strongly suggest the registration is taken care of, before any travel arrangement's.

Make sure to register early to save a spot.

All medals and t-shirts should be picked at the event. IBJJF will not mail medals and t-shirts to athletes.

Before each fight, athletes will be asked to show their Picture Ids to the officials. Make sure you have it at hand.

The athletes from the following countries Brazil, Portugal and Japan must be affiliated with their countries national Brazilian Jiu Jitsu federation, and must bring federation ID at the event before their fights, otherwise you will not be able to compete.

The official weight measurements of the event is in Kilograms. The weight chart for this event will have measures only in Kilograms. Make sure that your weight is correct according to the official weight measurement for this event

The Asian Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship is organized by JBJJF.

Athletes affiliation and academy registration deadline

All Juvenile, brown and black belt athletes must be properly affiliated for the current year.

All academies must be registered in order for its students to register in the competition.

All the documentation must be sent properly filled and signed as instructed on the e-mail received when soliciting your affiliation online. Juveniles, Brown and Black belts with pending and/or incorrect documentation won't be able to register for the tournament, as they need to have their request approved first.
