如何選擇適合自己的拳擊手套?
How do I pick the right size? 

擊手套的大小和重量是不一樣的,他們並不完全畫上等號唷!
Glove size and glove weight are NOT the same thing. In many cases the sizing DOES correspond with the weight of the glove, however this is not always true.

你所選擇的拳擊手套,將會因為你的目的而有所不同。
The weight of the glove is important for a variety of reasons. You will pick the WEIGHT of the glove depending on your chosen method of use. You will often choose SIZE depending on the best fit of the glove.

如果你和我一樣是個運動者,你至少會需要有一副用來訓練和對打練習的拳套,如果你是一個選手,你還會需要一副專門用於比賽的拳套。
If you’re like me, you’ll probably use one set of gloves for everything (hitting the bags, sparring). If you’re a competing boxer, you’ll have another set of gloves specifically for fighting.

When you go buy boxing gloves, you will see many different kinds advertised. The only ones you really need are TRAINING GLOVES or SPARRING GLOVES. Basically, training gloves are can be used for all types of boxing training like hitting the bags and sparring.

Below are general guidelines for body-weight and size of boxing training gloves recommended.

120lbs & Down
體重120(55公斤以下)

12oz or 14oz拳擊手套

120lbs – 150lbs
體重120-150(55-70公斤)

14oz or 16oz拳擊手套

150lbs – 180lbs
體重150-180(70-80公斤)

16oz - 20oz拳擊手套

180lbs & up (18oz & up)

而沙袋手套也可以依此對照,每個廠商製作方式不同,購買前請參考各家公告尺寸。
Is it therefore possible to have for example: 12 oz gloves in small, medium, and large? The answer is yes, but not in all cases. It will depend on the manufacturer of the glove.

對練型拳擊手套Sparring Gloves
用於對練的拳套通常會外加軟墊以保你的陪練夥伴,不管重量或尺寸我們通常會選擇16OZ以上的拳套,除非你是一個身材較嬌小的選手。理論上,若你比賽時是使用16OZ的拳套,就不會在練習時使用14OZ的,如果你的體重高於175(80公斤),應該要使用18OZ以上的拳套,同時在對練時你也要確認你的對手不是拿過輕的拳套,這樣會是被重擊的不公平練習。
Sparring gloves are basically extra-padded training gloves so that you’re not hurting your sparring opponent. Regardless of size or weight, hardly anyone ever spars with anything less than 16oz unless you’re a really small person (under 120 pounds). Theoretically, you COULD spar with 14oz gloves but then it wouldn’t prepare you for a competition fight if you compete with 16oz boxing gloves. If you weigh more than 175lbs lean muscle, you should spar with gloves no less than 18oz or 20oz. Don’t forget to watch out and make sure your opponent is not using smaller gloves than you because you will get hit harder by the unfair advantage.

比賽型拳擊手套Competition Boxing Gloves
各個比賽有各個指定的拳套尺寸,你可以向你的教練詢問,在職業拳擊比賽時使用較輕的拳套,但在你的培訓、陪練時,會使用較重、厚度較高的拳套。
In amateur boxing, your gloves have to be approved for boxing competition. Your trainer will know the correct size and specifications required. In professional boxing matches, the gloves are usually smaller. Generally, your training/sparring gloves will be heavier and thicker than your fighting gloves.

職業拳擊選手在打擂台時大多為810盎司拳擊手套,但是有各種不同量級的賽事,因此選手也將因此使用不同重量的拳擊手套。
Professional boxers that fight in the ring always 8oz. or 10 oz. gloves. But since there are so many different sizes of fighters and so many different weight classes these fighters will need different sizes of gloves.

業餘比賽的拳套具有良好的填充物,而職業比賽拳套則較少,因此你可以傷害你的對手。
Amateur competition gloves have good padding while professional competition gloves have less padding so you can hurt your opponent more.

一般狀況下拳擊手套越大重量也會隨之增加,而在專業拳擊手套製造時,並不一定拳擊手套越大重量也會越重。
Common sense would indicate that as the glove gets bigger the weight increases. In many cases this is true. However, in professional fight gloves the gloves are manufactured to have the same weight regardless of the size.

來挑選拳套嘍!Pick the right size!

選擇拳擊手套尺寸時,你要注意的是:挑選一個可以緊密貼合你的手的拳套,如果當你使用時發現裡面有太多空隙,會讓你手左右移動,是有可能造成受傷的
When choosing glove size you want the gloves to have a snug fit. If there is too much room inside for your hand to move around, there is potential for injury.

挑選拳擊手套尺寸時,有兩件重要的事情:
Two important things to note when choosing glove size:

1)     手套的延展性-就像是一雙好鞋一樣。當你使用越多時,他們會延展至越適合你的手,所以你一開始戴新拳套時,有可能不完全適合,建議購買較貼合你的手形的拳套。
The gloves will stretch – like a good pair of shoes. The more you use them, the more they will stretch to fit your hand. So the best gloves for you will probably not fit perfectly when they are brand new. You might want to consider buying them to be a little tighter fitting than you think.

拳擊手套
每家的廠牌在設計上略有不同,一分錢分貨,幾百塊的拳套我猜想連裝飾上都很有問題,為了練習時的安全,還是多花一點錢買較好的拳套,對各位的保護也較高。

2)     確保還有手綁帶的空間。當你空手試拳套時有可能是合手的,但若你加上手綁帶,則有可能變得不舒適。

Make sure there is room for hand wraps. Do NOT buy gloves without wrapping your hands and trying them on. It is very important for you to wear hand wraps and you do not want to get your new gloves and realize after the fact that they won't fit while you are wearing your hand wraps.

拳擊手套重量的重要事項:
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT GLOVE WEIGHT

你會發現,有一些手套似乎是很受歡迎的,但是很有可能只是因為某個選手他很有名,有些拳套的比重配置是加重在前端或手腕末端,然而這卻不代表這款拳套是適合你的。
You will find that some gloves are more popular than others. But just because a glove is more popular for a boxer does not mean the glove is best for you. Some gloves are weighted at the front end of the glove and some are weighted at the back end near the wrist.

拳擊手套
同樣是拳套,但在需求上仍會有許多差異性,小編戴過拳擊款、泰拳款和一般超便宜款。

若是"拳擊"手套,在拳眼到拳面的部份,會來得比其他款式較厚,較高的保護性,所以在比賽時選手僅管拿著重量(盎司OZ)較輕的拳套,也來得比泰拳款拳套保護性來得高,若拳擊選手平時練習使用泰拳款拳套,則需要拿重量較重的練習,但對於適應上和保護性上又有所考量。

拳擊選手會希望在拳面的部份減少泡棉(為了擊倒對方),但這樣的拳套未必是對你好的,當你在訓練時,足夠的拳面高密度吸震泡棉會帶給你更多的保護。
A boxer will want a glove weighted on the back so that there is less padding in the knuckle area. This is desired to have a greater impact on his/her opponent. But this may NOT be the best thing for you. When you train you should consider a glove that is weighted in the front. This usually means there is more padding, and therefore, more protection for your hand.

你可能有聽過「重擊拳套」,這樣的拳套大多將重量集中在手腕部位,但這對於訓練、拳擊有氧或對練是不太適合的。

You may have heard the term: "a punchers glove." This is usually for gloves that are weighted in the wrist area and they may not be the best gloves for training, cardio boxing, or sparring.
